They will no longer market their online dial up services, and they are giving it all away for free. Even their security software and premium services potentially. The strategy is to concede defeat to broadband and free services by Yahoo/Google/MS and try to convert some of the brand loyalty into advertising dollars. Can they survive?

I use Incredimail and this morning all my Yahoo groups emails came back saying unable to deliver because I had turned on the "autoresponder". I did NOT turn it on! When I go look at my pref page it says it is ON but when I go to the page that says "vacation response" it says it is OFF. What is going on here? Who turned it on and why can’t I turn it off? It tells me it’s off already
BTW..I was also mysteriously unsubbed from the Yahoo group I was posting too at the same time. Someone told me that it was because I posted to many times and Yahoo thinks I am a spammer?
help please
Thanks

A subscriber alerted me that he has sent messages to the list via the list’s "post" interface, but they haven’t appeared on the list. I checked and there are no pending messages. Then I tested it myself, and it doesn’t work: my messages don’t appear on the list either.
How frequently does this happen? It’s the first time for me, and I’ve had lists on Yahoo for many years.

For a few weeks now it seems like yahoo’s performance/speed has taken a huge hit.
What I do notice is the banner ads that target me related to a recent search or words in my personal emails come at a faster clip than before. But this same software seems to have wreaked the speed of Yahoo that I have come to know and love.
Anybody else notice the same?
Ok, what I did realize is that ie8 will not advance to a link until the whole ad plays which some can take as long as 10 seconds. Caught the name of it at the bottom and says something like adyeildmanager or something like that. I did read on a financial site that most www hosts will be experimenting with a new way to charge for internet up and above what you pay now. I hope they don’t take too long with the experiment. It may just be the perfect push for me to stop using the internet so much if it continues to be so slow. Thanks for all your answers.

I have launched my website and I am doing the PPC with google and yahoo. I am reading a lot about pay per click fraud. I am wondering if I should buy a software to prevent the PPC fraud or opt for another marketing alternative. I have heard email blasts are good but I dont know of any reputable companies.

I get so much crap everyday in my regular email that Yahoo doesn’t block. However, their own marketing emails they send out…start an online store, new toolbar, all that other junk they send out, half of those go to my bulk folder.
Youd think they could figure out how NOT to filter out their own spam. Are they that dumb?
